# What is the difference between canape and finger foods?

Canapes are usually 1-2 bite nibbles and finger foods are usually a bit more substancial and can be eatting in 2-3 bites. They are not quite double the size of a canape but if you are looking for an idea you will want 5 canapes per person for most events but potentially 3 finger foods per person.
